What Trips has Your Congressman Taken?

I was watching Inside Edition tonight and they had a segment on the trips that people in congress take for "fact finding missions". The thing that amazes me is that WE the people are paying for it. The shopping, the snorkling, the food, and all of the other extra "things" that they supposedly need. If you are curious and want to see where your repesenitives have been, check out this link to the story at Inside Edition. The more I see and hear about the things that go on, on the hill, the more I think we should limit how long they get to stay on the hill. If we put a limit on the number of terms in office they had, I think things would improve. What do you think? Give me your feedback. Let's find out what America thinks!

"Obama" Master of the New America?

I was looking through some email today and found a very interesting pdf file on the following site. Pick a chapter any chapter and read it with an OPEN mind. I believe everyone should be able to make their own decisions, and to do that they should willingly be able to look at all sides of a situation. Think about whats at stake and what the bigger picture is. Here's the link.

Latest updates from Ken

Hi gang,

I have been the biggest slacker! I have just sat back and have done absolutely nothing, except study for an exam I am getting ready to take for my day job. I am an email/blackberry admin and am trying to finish some quals before they retire the exams. I'll start back up in full force in a couple of weeks. See ya then.

Isagenix Update

Hi All!!
I've been taken some time off to focus on a few other things. A couple of business ideas that I hope will take off, and my health. I have written in the past about a product my friend Rose told me about that would be great for my body. She said the health benefits were awesome and my energy would increase. I decided to give it a try, and from my previous posts you know it went very well. I lost 11 pounds in a nine day period. Now here it is the beginning of November, (man where did the year go) almost 2 months since I first started the nutritional cleansing, and I am down to 189 lbs. I can't believe the difference in the way I look and feel from the missing 22 lbs. I'll let you in on a secret! I really don't miss the extra pounds. Even my manager made a comment about the difference. I recommend this to everyone to at least try and see how it works for you. Until next time. Peace..

The Isagenix Results Are In,

Better late then never, I have had some PC issues as of late and have been away for awhile but NOW I'm BACK and ready to post the results of my Isagenix experiment. I started the Isagenix 9 day plan on 9/3/07. I weighed in at 210 lbs. My waist was 42 inches. I did the recommended 2 day precleanse and by the end of the plan I was down to .............drumroll................198.6 lbs and my waist was 37.5 inches. A whole 11.4 lbs lost, gone, never to be seen again. It is now October 17th and I am currently at 195 lbs. I have more energy and feel great. I would recommend this program for anyone who wants to gain more energy and feel healthier. Check out the site for more information and see what everyone is talking about. The Are You Toxic video is very informitive and eye opening. Until next time .....Here's to your health!!

Isagenix Day 4 WOW

This is incredible! We are on day 4 and I am at 202.4lbs. Here's how it played out, Day 1 is a precleanse. You drink 2 shakes as meal replacements and then a 400-600 calorie meal. Well our day 1 meal was a Bertoullis' Chicken dinner meal and a salad. The meal was rated at 500 calories per serving and the salads had very little low fat dressing on them. Precleanse Day 2 meal was also for dinner and my dinner was a grilled chicken salad from Buffalo Wild Wings and my wife had a Fruit and Poppy salad from Arby's, so we are still not doing bad. Day 1 of the actual 9 day plan is to have 4 four oz drinks mixed with 8 oz of water each. Throughout the day we both had a few of the Isagenix snacks, which my wife has lovingly dubbed scooby snacks. We also had some almonds and I had a couple of hard boiled eggs throughout the day while my wife had a Special K bar. I was feeling ok no real cravings for food at all. I think the biggest issues we had were to not eat for eatings sake. You know what I mean, when you eat because you are bored. Day 2 of the 9 day was just like Day 1, our special drinks, some scooby snacks and some almonds. My wife said she was bouncing off the walls with energy while I felt foggy, like my head was in the clouds. The plan did say as the toxins leave your bodies, you may feel some minor symptoms. My wife has also continued to work out everyday at the gym for at least an hour or so. Me on the other hand have only managed a 20-30 minute walk around the neighborhood. Day 3 of the program, yes I got to have a meal replacement shake again. Talk about feeling you up. It was great! Now we also had the drink for lunch and decided we would have our meal for dinner as a date night. Well we cheated just a bit. On our date we went to Sakura Hibachi House, BUT we still made good choices. We had the miso soup, the salad, and we chose the chicken for the entree. The vegetables were excellant and we had some of the rice, but did not clear our plates. We both commented on how we were feeling full even after the soup and salad. I was feeling kind of bad about cheating but thats life and I got over it. I still feel good about myself and my weight loss so far. So hear we are at day 4, my wife went to WW to weigh in, and while she was gone I picked up the yard full of apples laying on the ground. I really dislike this apple tree in our yard. ;-). Wifey came home and we had our breakfast shake and decided to take stock of our progress so far. Will tell you about that later .........

Isagenix Test Take One

I have been wanting to lose some weight for a while now, but just haven't had the motivation to start. A friend of mine did a 9 day program called Isagenix and had some great results. She lost 7 pounds total. Now my friend has been doing Weight Watchers for quite a while and is in pretty good shape, but she had hit a plateau and wanted to shake things up a bit. Since her success with Isagenix I thought I would give it a try. Once I told my wife about she thought she would try it too. Now my better half has also been doing Weight Watchers since January and has lost 35lbs between WW and going to the gym 5 nights a week since June. Key thing here is I haven't done Weight Watchers or any other thing for my weight other than keep my couch company. It will be interesting to see how she does on this stuff too.

My goal here is to track everything that we do on the program. So here we go. I'm starting out at 210lbs, and on my 5'8" frame that makes me a barrel in the middle. Today is the second day of a 2 day pre-cleansing. On the pre-cleansing days I drink two meal replacement drinks and a 400-600 meal. So far it hasn't been to bad, no real cravings to speak of. Tomorrow I start the cleanse phase in which I will be drinking 4, eight oz bottles of water with 4 oz of the Cleanse for Life product. I will let you know what happens and how I feel tomorrow.
